Another feature that is impressive is the ability to return to the spot where it left off in our tests--it did this for 77 mins on one cleaning before running out of battery.

In contrast to other robovacs we test, the i3+ EVO has a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's full. This reduces hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still needs to be manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin can hold 2.4L of trash that is more than enough to get it through four or five cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

Like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It also allows you to navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not the i3+ EVO.

Although the i3+ EVO is superior at picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs that we tested but it's not the best in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, since it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the bed.
