It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
