3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is accomplished.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
