1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum with mop vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of floors and rooms.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms and also a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even over raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.

After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to prevent it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station when required.

The robot comes with an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it does sometimes get hung in the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can control by creating a virtual boundary within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good with a pair of spinning mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation when needed. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots that vacuum and mop we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up cables or kitty litter that's not a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. The device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. It also has washable filters which further reduces costs. The robot cleaner with mop is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction if needed. You can also mark areas you want to be able to keep from using the app.
