What is a C license?
A class C licence is a commercial driver's permit (CDL). The licence gives drivers to operate vehicles that have a gross vehicle rating (GVWR) limit of 26,000 pounds. This includes passenger vehicles, such as buses, vans and trucks. You must pass the test in writing before you can be granted an official Class C license. It is recommended to go through the MTO Truck Handbook to prepare for the test. The handbook contains the driving skills and particular regulations that truck drivers need to know. You'll need to submit evidence of your age and identity, along with a copy of either your chauffeur or operator's license or operator license, if applicable, in order to apply for a C licence. Additionally, you will need to submit an application fee.
How do I apply to get a C license?

How do I obtain my C license?
You must be at least 18 years old and pass a medical examination to get a C license. You must also have an official license (category A) and pass the test for the C license. You can take the test on your computer or at a driving school. To prepare for the test, it's advised to practice driving with a buddy and study the relevant information. After passing the test you will receive a certificate issued and you will receive a driving license.
If you're under the age of 18, you may still apply for a C+E license however, you must have your parent or legal guardian sign a waiver stating that they agree to let you drive large goods vehicles. You'll need to provide proof of your identity and address. In some instances,

Before applying for a C+E licence you must first be able to pass the C driving test and have an auto driving license (category B).
