Path of Exile
Item UpgradingItem upgrading allows players to enhance their weapons and gear with new affixes, boosting its stats base or providing additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.
Items that have weak bases, such as rings, can be upgraded into more robust bases. Items with strong bases, such as Titans from eth, have no change in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons and gathering tools. They can be used as an attribute bonus, or additional effect, when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, found as loot by enemies, or gotten from missions and chests. Certain upgrades also have cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.
In order to upgrade an item of armor, the player has to select it, and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview showing the expected upgrade statistics and the necessary component or materials.
There are three kinds that are universal upgrades (which include gems) Prefix upgrades and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which include gems, can be placed in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are gems that can only be used in legendary and ascended equipment. They provide the same bonuses as jewels, but cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades, which can be placed in gathering tools, will include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding the word Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor will make it a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If a player upgrades a gathering tool, and then replaces the glyphs with a different one, the old one will be returned to their inventory. If you replace another upgrade component the item will be destroyed, except for the inscriptions, which can be swapped freely.
Leveling
Path of Exile's upgrade system differs from previous versions in some fundamental ways. Gear is now categorised in tracks and each item is able to be upgraded a certain number of times before it's "leveled out." The upgrade costs increase with each level, however the materials required for upgrades do not. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the effect of those items rather than spreading the cost of upgrades across several pieces.
When an item is completed and is leveled out, it will be capable of receiving a new set of upgrade components, as well as a boost in the chance that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is known as the Artisan's Energy and it will reset to zero in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade succeeds.
When a piece of equipment is upgraded to its highest level it is able to be given affixes that increase its features. The amount of affixes available will depend on the item's class. For instance, a rare or unique weapon with a normal base will have no more than two affixes to choose from and a legendary armor will have up to eight affixes available for it.
Each upgrade step will require a specific amount of Flightstones or Crests, depending on whether the
item upgrades is at its current level and what slot it is in. Weapons usually require more Flightstones than other equipment.
If an
Best item upgrade doesn't attain its maximum level, the NPC gives the player the choice to transfer it to another character and then re-infuse it with a different set or upgrades. This process can take up to two hours and will cost the same amount of materials, though it will have a lower chance of success.
Engineers will employ a level to compare the height of the building to a known point, like the benchmark. This is known as a "level loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod, and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method ensures that structures are built to the highest level of accuracy and safety.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is a very important part of the game that can boost the strength, damage, or other attributes. This can be accomplished through the
Best item upgrade menu or by clicking the Reroll button on an upgraded item. Rerolling an item can be costly and should be handled with care.
The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, which can be used to acquire tokens for rerolls. These tokens are then used to upgrade the original item or an similar item. Recyclable items have an indicator of the level which shows how much of the
upgrade item gauge has been filled. The amount of level that has been filled is based on the rarity and cost of upgrading of the item.
In the past, some upgrade items had priority affixes that made them easier to roll for than other. This meant that you'd receive the stats most important to your build more often than others. This included stats like armor's total armour, thorns, and diminished duration due to control or the weapon's bonus attack speed and strike chance.
This has changed since the most recent patch. Priority affixes have been removed, and all upgrades have the same chance of rolling for each statistic. This could be good or bad, based on what you're looking to get from your equipment.
Each upgraded item could be equipped with a special fixed-value bonus that boosts its power by a specific percentage. These bonuses are offered into the usual affixes. The more you upgrade an item, the better chances of obtaining a unique bonus.
The game also comes with various sets which give a set bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are placed on an item. This is an excellent way to add a lot of power to a particular character without spending an excessive amount of money.
Many players have the habit of rerolling their weapons and gear particularly in the initial stages. Rerolling is a way to get a more powerful character faster, which allows you to advance in the game and achieve higher tiers.
Sets
Sets are collections that can be organized differently. They could be of various sizes, contain no elements, or have a single element. They are useful for organizing data or separating information. They can also be used to study patterns. Sets can be categorized in many ways, such as by size and shape.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers a wide range of set items that can be upgraded. Some items are worth upgrading while others aren't. Upgrades are worth it for armor sets with high defense values and set bonuses. However, weapon upgrades often do not boost the stats of the item when as compared to their purple counterparts. This makes them less attractive to upgrade in the event that your collection of weapons and armor pieces is already huge.
Set items can be upgraded to include specific functions that are beneficial for specific builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are two examples of this. Both were upgraded to Extraordinary Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements were also increased).
Upgrades can also be made to bring certain items to the level of the levels. For example the Immortal King set has a vast range of levels, ranging between 29 and 76. Upgrades to lower level items can improve their defense, and improve their performance when it comes to damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will display the attributes of the item and the items required to upgrade it. The item will be displayed with its characteristics, as well as the necessary items required to upgrade it. To upgrade the No-mouth face for example, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, as well as 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Players can also go to the Leaderboard or Golden vendor in Cyrodiil to check the upgrade requirements of specific items.
In general, armor and weapons are more valuable when they are fully updated. Particularly, for weapons that feature spell/weapon damage glyphs and are upgraded to gold is recommended since it will result in a significant increase in their power. It will also boost the defense value of armor that has an updated appearance.
