World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The upgrade feature for items allows players to increase the level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This increases the stats and sometimes adds buffs or rerolls on an affix.
It is important to note that even though you can upgrade magic and other common equipment, it is generally not worth it. Rare and exclusive gear will quickly outclass modernized magic and common equipment.
Cost
When a player decides to upgrade an item, they must spend Gold to upgrade the item. The cost of upgrading an item is based on the current level of the item and type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades to armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases as an item is upgraded.
An upgraded item will also come with increased stats, which can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This could include increasing its attack power and critical strike chance or damage per second. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to provide extra bonuses to its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to be used for a number of reasons for example, to increase the overall power of a group or individual unit. They can also be a significant influence on the gameplay.
Any item upgrader NPC can be located in the game. Generally, these NPCs are located in capital cities or major questing locations. You can also find item-upgraders by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs at the garrisons of your faction.
The system of upgrading items in World of Warcraft provides players with the option of upgrading the level of armor, weapons, and trinkets. The process is similar to the process of reforging gear in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency appropriate to the task, players must visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be costly, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path you choose, each item level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total costs can be prohibitive for players who don't have the resources or aren't willing to grind them.
Fortunately, the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the items menu. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that has different bonus effects. This is useful to get better rolls on items that have already been upgraded. However, it can be a waste of time.
Requirements

Time is an important factor.
