What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to view and purchase upgrades.

Boosts

Costs

Upgrades are accompanied by a few associated costs. The first cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the item upgrades's new ilvl and the amount of perks it will gain and can be costly. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the materials required for an upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These items can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

Upgrades to an item are a complex process that requires time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl as well as other properties. A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version, can be used to boost the chances of an upgrade being successful. This item is useful when you own an item or weapon equipment that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. It allows you to upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without having to worry about it breaking.
