World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade items template ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player improves the equipment they have the original item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can make the item more expensive if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a different set of bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items (visit my homepage) allows players to upgrade the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original condition which means that the player has to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item level upgrade are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require an individual amount of upgrade ingredients.
