WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the
Item Level Upgrade and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Upgraders for items are available in many places on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain the latest recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an
item upgrader mod upgrader at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an
item upgrades upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players
upgrade items their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to make. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
