WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrader kit owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of The button will display the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an Item Level Upgrade is upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations offer item upgrade upgraders, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe.
