World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it may increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a specific amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its basic stats are increased in value. This is the sum of all of an item upgrader kit's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, dependent on who you employ and what you decide to do. This is due to the variety of perks that must be altered to upgrade an item.

It is also used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is capped at an lower level). The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the item level. It's a good indicator of the quality of an item and the amount of damage it will be capable of dealing with. The level of the item can be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a seller.

On PC, you are able to check the level of the item by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the item level is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It considers that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is typically very close to Blizzards actual item level.

However, this is not the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, as the level of the area the item was dropped in could alter the value of its stats, for instance by adding an additional level to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the best." The base stats on a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.

The upgrades to an item upgrader mod can increase its stats. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a gray or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times with higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give the item additional damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the duration of cooldowns), or make the item unique by putting an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items that can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other options for rerolling.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or an item level upgrade that is a God roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. Similar to the base equipment, it would have to be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players a chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in early game runs than in later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances that increase with each item level. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields, and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the luck of an item up to 140.

Moreover some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading that item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..

The success of an can be affected by the luck of the item. Each item has an overall success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The upgrade overlays for items are displayed above items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
