It simply gives players a chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in early game runs than in later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances that increase with each item level. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields, and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to increase the luck of an item up to 140.
Moreover some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.
