The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top rated robot vacuum-best rated robot vacuum robots we have test. It may be stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between surfaces, such as hardwood and rug.

iRobot recommends clearing areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its dirt into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning the area where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. Roomba by iRobot

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or through the app.

In our testing, the i7+ was more agile and faster than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it wasn't particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested and this could be a deal breaker for certain shoppers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that can be accessed through the app. You can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station.
