World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what can be improved upon the reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high chance that the item level upgrade could become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item upgrades requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a disadvantage since the item may increase in price even if you do not need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times which increases their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. The item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to carry every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs listed above.
