WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item upgrader kit that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
