World of Warcraft -
Item UpgradingItem upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades on its own.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally beneficial, it can have some negative effects as well. For items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could make them unusable unless you get a lucky roll.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the item menu. This will reroll the
item upgrading and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you get from each point of health and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as often as you can.
To upgrade your armor, go to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock them all, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds, you can then speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a lot of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you're able to survive a battle with friends.
You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is
Best item upgrader to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past some monsters.
Potions
Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, provide the user with a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained by making them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't important, like a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket can be used to express friendship or affection between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other
item level upgrade upgrades, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. One can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they're no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other items of gear they won't replace soon (for example an earring or cloak). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should be aware of the class's preferred stats. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will receive an additional 1% upgrade bonus. However, a re-upgrade will ruin the previous trinket until it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying new ones.
