World of Warcraft Item Upgrade and Set Bonuses

Upgrade materials can be collected by players as they provide clear content. They can be used to upgrade or replace an item upgrader kit. Each item requires a distinct kind of upgrade material. Weapons require Destruction stones, while armor items require Guardian or Harmony Leapstones. When an item is upgraded, these materials are changed to a different name. For example, Stone Fragments becomes Stones and Harmony Shards becomes Life Shards.

It is essential to upgrade items in order to boost a character's performance. However, it is also important to consider how much this will cost. Every time an item is upgraded, it will cost an amount of gold which could be better spent on the purchase of a new piece of equipment. This is why it is advisable to only upgrade the most necessary items in any given scenario.

This implies upgrading the weapon, followed by the legs, chest and helm. Upgrade trinkets in this phase if the player has the money to do so. This will maximize their proc potential. These bonuses, also known as Set Bonuses, are comparable to and sometimes superior to Effects. While it's not explained in the game's universe why the armor sets must be worn together in order to create these additional effects, they do give an interesting change of pace when playing the game. The armor sets that come with Set Bonuses can be found in various locations throughout Hyrule, including the Dark Moon and Twilight Temple.

Set Bonuses are included with every piece of equipment in the Set. You can identify the ones you are looking for by hovering over the item upgrades and looking at the tooltip at the bottom. Set Bonuses are displayed in a box with a red border.

Some of these bonuses are only available to specific pieces of equipment. If you have the complete Phantom Armor set, you will get +8 defense (instead of the +3 defense you get with most gear). Some sets are only available by completing certain tasks or by purchasing them from the Auction House.

Set bonuses

Set bonuses are special effects that are available on a gear set which can provide a boost in battle. While Set Bonuses don't stack within a set, they do stack between different sets. This is great for those that want to use the most efficient combination of sets. However, it requires some planning. Since set bonuses only affect the shell of a piece of equipment (not the armoring, mod or the enhancement) It is important to be aware of where you place them.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that the strength of a set's bonus is not affected when you have an exemplar that is more than three levels below the minimum level allowed for an Enhancement of that kind. Purple (Very Rare) Sets PvP sets, sets for PvP and Archetype Origin sets are exempt from this restriction, and their set bonuses function regardless of the exemplar level of an item.
