WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader kit Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of
item Level upgrade upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Upgraders for items are available in many places on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to
upgrade items are acquired via a variety of means, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and some new features added. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items are from another set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.
Crests
Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific
item level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a crucial element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests, based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
