World of Warcraft Upgrades

Upgrades are parts that can be added to equipment to provide it with different bonus effects. They range from stat boosts to increased proc odds of amazing equip effects.

The upgrade system for items works differently than you might be familiar with from other MMORPGs. This guide will go over the basics and provide some tips and tricks.

Rerolling

A player can upgrade items like trinkets, weapons, and armor up to level 9 by visiting an item upgrader NPC. These NPCs are accessible by searching the map or talking to a merchant. The process of upgrading an equipment set piece or weapon results in the item becoming stronger and receiving new benefits. It can take a lot of time to collect the items required to upgrade an item, but the rewards will be worth it.

To complete a gear upgrade you'll need a certain amount of Power Dices and Minerals. The upgrade pity system, which was introduced in conjunction with the 2.6.0 gear rework, lowers the extreme variance of upgrading luck. This means that players will have a higher chance of obtaining the desired item for evolution when spinning a Pokestop or Gym.

When you upgrade an equipment set piece, you can gain extra stats if the entire set are at level 10. This is the most effective way to gain additional stats from your equipment. However, you will need to spend some time upgrading the equipment to be able to do this.

Buy

Purchase an upgrade to an item also known as "upping", refers to the process of adding a level to any equippable gear. This includes weapons, armor trinkets, tools for gathering and other items that have an upgrade slot. This is done by paying appropriate currencies at an item upgrader NPC. Upgrade components can be inserted into these items to grant an attribute bonus along with other effects while the equipment is used.

Upgrades that are slotted in can be replaced, but they cannot be removed unless the item is destroyed or salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or higher-end item upgrades recovery tools. Glyphs that are placed in gathering tools can be replaced and removed at any time.

A player can purchase up to six upgrade components at a time by recycling other gear. Recycled items add a certain number of levels to the gauge for upgrading an item, with the amounts increasing depending on the equipment in question is more valuable.
