Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools, to give an attribute benefit or additional effects when utilized. They can be obtained by crafting, purchased from vendors and players on the Trading Post or looted from containers or enemies. Certain quest rewards include upgrade components. Most upgrades require that the upgraded item be of a certain or higher level to accept the component. Some come with special cosmetic effects.
Gemstones and jewels are two different kinds of upgrade components. Gemstones can be used in any equipment and are more easily obtained than other upgrade components. Leveling
The upgrade system in the game lets players to level up their weapons, armor and helms, improving their stats base. Each item can only be upgraded once per level. The upgrade cost is determined by the current tier, as well as the levels of augmentation.
Every time a player levels up an item, it gains an additional random bonus. This bonus increases the chance of a critical hit, or adds a small amount of damage to an attack or spell.
There are two types of upgrades available: the regular upgrade and the tech upgrade. The regular
upgrade item increases the main stat of an item by three, whereas the tech upgrade will increase one of its secondary stats. The upgrade process is fast and cost-effective. It's worth a shot to upgrade an object if you have the money.
As you advance in the ranks of an item, the guaranteed bonuses will also increase. These bonuses will increase by a certain percentage with each upgrade. For example at level 2 the item's chance to crit will go up by 3 percent, while at level 6, it will increase by 9 percent. Similar to that, at level 3 an item will be given an additional stat boost of up to 15 percent.
The leveling system in the game uses a technique known as "level loading." This is a strategy for scheduling that maintains inventory at a constant level by controlling production rates based on demand. This frees space and resources by eliminating the need for overly storage of inventory.
Additionally, players can use the gear transfer feature to transfer the upgrades of an older, low-level
item upgrader mod to a better one within the same tier. The player can upgrade the equipment more quickly without wasting precious materials. The item's level or quality is not affected, meaning that players will not lose their progress should they decide to roll it again later on it. To be able to take advantage of this feature, the player must have an item in their inventory with an upgrade recipe that matches the item they want to transfer.
