Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens permit you to reroll a purchased
item level upgrade, such as armor, weapon, or ring. This swaps the current item for a different one similar one, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item, and any resources wasted won't get compensated.
The surviving players can acquire Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of a piece of equipment for example, increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll their equipment using three attributes that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by melee and weapons while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to make it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces stays on the spot until the next Success is being rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the beginning of each preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grabbing on to them. Once they are open they show a complete description and the icon of the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.
During the course of the course of a game, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on selected Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints that the restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. They are also available to players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players must first identify the appropriate item, and then click the "level up" button. This will display a list of the
item upgrade's level, and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without straining their accounts. Furthermore, players can transfer the experience and the progress of an upgraded item to new item by clicking the "transfer" tab.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to get the stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade components and grant the item an increased level, which gives the
item upgrades a boost in that area. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.
Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon next to their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to one item at one time. Furthermore, each
upgrade item component will require a certain amount of items to be added, as well as a minimum level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can put in equipment that needs to be upgraded, while the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. When players have enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will start the upgrade process.
An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its highest level, upgrades will no longer be available to it. In the same way, once an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to the track will be offered at a discount.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can slot into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired through quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the kind of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This gives them more effects or an improved level of the item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component is placed into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun", for example, increases base defense and adds an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire", however increases damage to weapons.
Some items benefit from upgrading less for their increased stats, but for the fact that it allows players to gain the most value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the item type (either Armor or Weapon) the tier of the item and the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the requirements for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close you are to completing it. You can also check on the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
