Saab Key Replacement
It can be extremely frustrating to lose keys to your car stolen. It's easy and inexpensive to add a new car key in the event that you have an additional key.

This is done by changing (in inverse Hex) the number count to zero in the ECU. You'll need to open the case of the key fob to do this. This can be done by removing the emergency key from the fob. You can then employ a flathead to lift the case from the fob and expose the battery. Don't spill liquids or drop them into the fob as it could cause damage to electronic components.

Replacement

The dealer will need to replace both the CIM (Column Integration module) or TWICE, depending on the model. They will also need to program the key to work with the new module. The key that is claimed to be new from the aftermarket is typically not properly programmed and cannot be programmed correctly when you are in need of them.
It is not unusual that the battery wears out in a keyfob after a few use years especially if the device is used frequently to lock and unlock the car. Fortunately that replacing the battery in most SAAB 9-3 key fob models is quite easy and doesn't require any special tools.
