The cot is cushioned, features mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It's also washable, so you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.

Unlike some other bedside cot newborn cribs, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can be used as a standalone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It has many amazing features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long once your baby turns six months. You will need to buy a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she particularly liked its elegant design.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee foldable bedside crib crib is designed to provide a good night's rest. It comes with a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lowered to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during naps and also for travel.

We love that it's made from soft materials with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It is available in oak or charcoal with a variety of melange fabrics that will blend with most decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the bed and the zips secured for baby-safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or support contact number should you run into any issues.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you would expect from a crib to your bedside, such as the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also has six height settings. Additionally it has an inclined feature that can be used to assist infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It is also machine-washable and is a must for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that can be found in a newborn baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close during the first six months when they're able to go to sleep on their own, the CoZee is a great choice because it can be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it can transform into a crib. While it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep it will rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, however it comes with a lot of features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to fit under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be lowered and raised by pressing a button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night because it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them up.

The side panel can be lifted by itself however, it's not recommended as this increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you're breastfeeding and require frequent feedings at night.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and a rocking function to help ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also extremely large and has great ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one place to another. It's small enough to be able to fit in a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage when you have to transport it. The only issue our testers found is that the side panel did not move as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option when you're looking for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening the bond you have with your newborn.

Unlike some other cribs for bed like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to ease colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby at night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to get started. It took us around an hour to put together and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that some images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of high quality.

The Shnuggle Air is a great option for women who are breastfeeding or have had a c-section. It lets them reach out and touch their baby to comfort them and feeding without leaving their bed. It's also great for those who prefer not to go through the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down to sleep.

During our tests, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely beneficial in getting babies to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side can be accessible to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major benefit for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock or have extra features, like a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
