WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the
item upgrades by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the
item level upgrade will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to
upgrade item weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an The button will display the item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
Item upgraders can be found in many places, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades must be acquired through various methods, which is both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less, even if they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific upgrades to the level of an item. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.
First, you should know that Crests are only available to gear of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an
item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. It is
Best item upgrade to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
