For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the autonomous vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.

The Roborock model, like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto vacuum and mop-filling.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
