Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced
robot floor cleaner vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It features an elegant, top piece that looks like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying
Remote Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labeling of rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is easy. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, however it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and features are among the
best value robot vacuum on the market however it's expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really
good robot vacuum job of picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra
best budget robot vacuum vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.
However, if you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models that cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and plenty of room for it to move around but.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact It can be placed under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finishes and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30, however, is more affordable and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
