The
Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of things to do. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.
It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high velocity and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. However, it's important to keep in mind that it has recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.
This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. It has an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The
robot cleaner with mop has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its
best automatic vacuum and mop feature was its precise floorplan map which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able to collect a large amount of hair our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to signalled when it was beginning or finishing its work.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a problem when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock which doubles as the
robot vacuums with mop's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and an
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
