It was able to drive right up to walls without crashing into them, and even managed to traverse raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down stairs in a single move. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how much you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a variety of innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

This robot combo has an easy-to-use interface that guides you through the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot isn't able to reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled as needed. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction which can easily pick up dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good and include a pair of mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as needed.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush will ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.

Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a large margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.

This is especially true for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mops, is designed to do just that. It's easy to connect it to your WiFI network at home and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has plastic body.

Even though it's not able to mop floors, the Q5 still has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot vacuum cleaner best at this price. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleanings and set the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.

Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust, and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features an innovative mapping system that helps it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. The K10 Plus also is able to collect more dust in a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters, which reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you want to keep out of the app.
