1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful
robotic hoovers vacuums that we have test. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can produce up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Similar to other iRobots that are premium (including the top model) they employ intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost which boosts the robot's power when it spots the presence of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned quickly.
Both the Q5 and the Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. There are some issues, however, that prevent them from being our first choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to become entangled in shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.
However, it's a good choice for those who want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot, and you have a mostly bare-floor home or office. Plus, it's very quiet and can be used while you're at work or going to school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle however. If you need to, the mopping pad can be changed for one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.

It is possible to instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when it's in a carpeted room which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also great for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest

It also did a great job cleaning a variety of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.
It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically fills up its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is due to the combination of high-tech sensors including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could fill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The smart robot makes use of a combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive rivals. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't foolproof in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas in the house based on how dirty the areas tend to be.
For larger homes it's recommended to choose a model that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean one particular area of your home using the app or voice controls. If you have lots of furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. For families that are busy recharge functions and resume feature that allows your

It also comes with an app that's less intuitive, and a smaller base station that does not double as a bin to empty.
