It's therefore prone to getting stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good value for those whose home or office has a lot of bare floors and you want to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can work when you're at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be replaced with a wet one in minutes.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum to score a perfect 10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are similarly capable and look better. If you're willing some more volume and a little more cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time but this wasn't 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house according to the degree of dirt they are.

If you have a bigger home, it is worth selecting a model with a zones or spot cleaning modes. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your home must be cleaned with the help of an app or voice command. A stair mode can be useful if you own a lot furniture. For families with busy schedules, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot cleaner with mop vacuum to pick up where it left off could be extremely useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3
