Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and MopIf you need to clean up your mess quickly and efficiently, a robot
autonomous vacuum and mop is the
best automatic vacuum and mop way to go. The best robot vacuums and mops that I tested had excellent navigation and mapping. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, as well as wires that were strung up.
They're also user-friendly using an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and see what they're working on.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combination that has cutting-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This model of the highest quality is swift and agile and can pick up dirt such as human hair and pet hair with a near perfect accuracy in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish interface that includes a mini map of your house and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another standout feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels, thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will pause and wash its mopping pad more often when it comes across dust, while it will prioritize carpeted areas to mop with a damp pad.
The mop roller has many other smart features, including a dock that connects to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without having to manually refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant on the S8, you can use voice commands to specify rooms cleaning options and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-off robot vacuum that can mop The Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile options. It's among the many combo robot vacuums with mopping capabilities that are priced lower than other models.
Like many robovacs Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to start, including creating an account on the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed this, the robot will start vacuuming and mops with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process may take a while and the Yeedi Cube may need a few tries before it gets a good picture of your space. The object detection is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles, but got stuck on a rug with tassels that it had to flip over to release itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who need an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses the rotation of the motion, which is similar to hand scrubbing. This means that floors are cleaned, not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach areas where robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home better and offer dynamic obstacles avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to customize a number of settings including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the
robot mop vacuum and mop returning to their charging base after each job to wash their pads and empty their dust bins, and place debris into the self-sealing bags. This keeps the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. Its battery life is sufficient to clean large areas without requiring the battery to be charged mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more expensive robot
automatic vacuum and mop robot and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotary floor brush for carpets and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also has a unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously spraying with water to collect dirt and deposit it in the water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It stayed clear of stairs and navigated close to walls without falling. However, it had trouble with fine engrained debris and was not always able to get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise is also high, and it could be less of a set-and-forget model than others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a a docking system that allows it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dust bin as well as dry and wash the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes upkeep easy and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on regular schedules. Eufy's app allows you to control all its functions. It gives you an easy overview and a variety of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers available, and it offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles, and other obstacles with decent accuracy. The app lets users fine-tune the map coverage, set up no-go zones and customize cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which could be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads spinning at 180 RPM while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system incorporates smart carpet detectors, which raise the pads when they're near soft surfaces in order to keep them from getting contaminated.
The docking station is designed to function as a hands-free maintenance centre, automatically washing and drying the mops before refilling them with detergent and water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their dust bins each time they need to be empty.
6. S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my home office clean. It can also reach into the corners of my small apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to make an outline of your home which allows it to know where not to go. In addition, unlike other vacuums that have mopping capabilities it detects objects and obstructions that avoids things like bowls and dog toys (but not poop).
Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set your own cleaning schedule within the app and adjust settings for every room in your home.
Similar to the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping, and can distinguish between carpets, laminate and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. It can also avoid cleaning rooms that aren't clean if you want to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to spend extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features this is a great option.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice if you are looking for a robot that can handle regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes. It has a wide range of features including self-emptying dustbins as well as an additional water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings within the app. It's extremely quiet, and it can maneuver between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up tangled rug tassels up and its battery drains more quickly than other models we tried.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that provides an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek design. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it performed quite well. It has a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet mode for light debris to the incredibly powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and reattach mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot vacuum and mop that can be used in smaller spaces. It's extremely fast and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces with ease. It also does a very nice job of getting pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it is able to take a photo of any object it comes across (i.e. chew toys, or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they won't be removed during subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and not tied to you account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not as well in mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip to the bot's bottom, and it basically drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal that come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
