Size
The Joovy Kooper X2 is a side-by-side
cheap double stroller stroller that can hold two children up to 50 lbs each. The seats are more spacious than similar strollers that are lightweight and the canopy has large SPF 50 sunshades with peekaboo windows. Other important features include cup holders with one parent and an enormous, self-standing basket that can hold up to 25 lbs; swing-away bars for children to get into and out of their seats and the wheels can be locked with swivels to allow for better maneuverability on rough terrain. It's a great choice for urban and suburban families. It also comes with a newborn-friendly a double set that includes a wedgie to help you sleep in a lying-flat position.
Weight
The weight of
double pushchair with car seat buggies will determine its ease of pushing. A lighter buggy is simpler to lift and transport, but might not have enough suspension to withstand bumps and uneven terrain.
Be sure to check the specifications of each model carefully before purchasing. Certain double buggies have a maximum seat weight, while others have a frame limit. Some double buggies are able to be folded with seats removed, making them lighter and more compact. This is helpful if you are limited on storage space.
Tri-fold doubles are usually the lightest of models, since they only require a single hand to lift the top and bottom sections. They are also a bit smaller than side by side buggies and are able to fit through most doors. The iCandy Geo 3 is one of the lightest tri-fold doubles on the market. It can comfortably accommodate twins or a toddler and baby.
Tandem buggies are great for families with growing children because they begin as a single stroller but can be adapted to include a
second hand double buggy seat or car seat, or carrycot. Some models, like the iCandy Orange, offer over 30 seating configurations so they can adapt to your family up to a third child. Doubles are heavier than tri-folds however, since the weight is evenly distributed, they are easier to maneuver.
Folding
The best double buggies for small spaces fold easily and can be folded in a matter of minutes. This feature is adored by our Lab experts because they can fit the buggies in the back of their vehicles and save space when they're not in use. The Joovy Kooper X2 for example comes with straps that can be pulled up over each seat and the whole thing folds down. Even our most experienced testers were able to do this tri-fold with just one hand.
The lightweight Delta Children LX Side by Side is another great option for a compact double buggie. Its light weight is a plus however, its main features are such as large pop-out canopies that have SPF 50 and peekaboo windows swing-away bars that aid youngsters to climb into and out of the seats; and reclining seats and leg rests designed for younger kids.
Manoeuvrability
When choosing a small double stroll, it's important to take into account its maneuverability. This includes how easy it is for both children to ride in the buggy. Some pushchairs are more efficient than others in this regard, including the iCandy Orange's "cinema seat" (where the back is elevated).
Buggies with narrow tandems can be excellent at this and so can side-by-side designs. However, they are a bit longer overall, and therefore could be difficult to navigate through doorways.
The UPPAbaby Vista 2 pushchair is an excellent example, considering that it is a relatively narrow model that allows for two additional seats and - most importantly - an auxiliary board that can accommodate a third child.
Other smaller, three wheeled models, like the phil&teds Dot, are also incredibly flexible. This is especially true with its clever "dot kit" that transforms it into an inline buggie. It offers two seating options for children of various age groups and the front seat can be turned so that it faces the parents for more intimate bonding. It has an ample storage basket and is easy to fold. This is a great option for families that are growing.
Comfort
With compact tandem strollers or flexible side-by-side buggies, parents can monitor both children at the grocery store, park or wherever else. These lightweight doubles can hold two children up to 50 lbs per seat and come with generous, pop-out canopies that extend far enough to offer real shade, with window windows that can be seen from a distance and padded legs rests for the little ones to sit back and relax. The doubles come with a single parent cupholder and an adjustable cupholder on the seatback. They also come with an ample underseat storage basket.

The innovative 3-wheel design gives an excellent maneuverability and simple kerb pop, whilst the sling seat is a fab newborn-friendly option that will allow for a perfect face to face bonding time.
