Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that clean and
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session without the need to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance, such as emptying debris and washing the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot
vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 is the first
robot vacuums best vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand The X40 has many smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other
robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels robust and well built. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
