Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great
autonomous vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the
Best robot vacuum uk to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
