1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1 It was quick to identify our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them, and even managed to traverse raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or carpet.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8700Pa of suction and comes with numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when needed.
The robot is simple to set up and use, and has a clear interface that guides you through the procedure. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished when required. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily remove dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary in the application). Its mopping capabilities are also very good, with a pair spinning mop heads that are able to lift and scrub floors instead of moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. However, their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush will ensure a thorough, customized clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent, navigating tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app features a simple user interface that is designed to be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter the suction power, mop settings as well as look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get all dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by eliminating mopping and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleaning and set the floor type. It also features an
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested to not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise, since it does NOT include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest
robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the expenses associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you want to keep out of the app.
