The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to get mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the
best automatic vacuum and mop navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well, but this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house, find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device will incur recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.
This
robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. It has a power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus
robot vacuum cleaner uk vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that is equipped with microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair from pets. It was able capture a lot of the hair shed by our cats, and even made it into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the
robot vacuum cleaner best or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
