He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums best vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other models which makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.

It's quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well, but it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want a cleaner home without spending hours doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot auto vacuum and mop is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect a large amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was in the process of getting its work done.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to swap out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it comes with some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two water tanks, a clean sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
