1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double

The City Tour 2 double to single buggy stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel and easily fits through the majority of normal doors thanks to its slim design, it's also one of the most lightweight double buggies that are available, weighing only 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a newborn and a toddler because you won't have to exceed the luggage allowances of airlines. It can also be folded into the size of an incredibly small travel bag so you can store it in the back seat of your car.

The one-handed, Z-shape folding is easy and it's extremely compact once you master it. It can take a couple of minutes to fold. However, our tester found the auto lock to be a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar wasn't locked to its place when you press it, it struck her legs when she used it. She also felt that the handlebar was a bit shorter than she would like particularly with a large changing bag hanging from it.

Unlike other lightweight travel buggies it doesn't sacrifice features. It's one of the most full-featured double strollers available. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) and offers multiple recline positions, and an UV 50+ canopy. You can add an additional bassinet to one or both seats to create an all-in-one travel system.

The four rubber composite wheels are ideal for pavements and urban terrain, but they're not built for off-roading - they struggled on long grass and gravel, and there isn't much space between the wheel and the bracket which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our tester loved this vehicle and was able to climb some beautiful dirt hills.

iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange is a premium double buggy that is the ultimate in style and versatility. It is an essential item for parents looking for a stylish, high-quality double buggy that will last. The Orange has an elegant frame that is lightweight and sleek with a large basket that easily fits 2 car seats. It has a luxurious, interchangeable canopy that is both water-resistant and ventilated. It comes in trendy colours such as Pistachio, Fossil, Latte and Rose on a Jet Black frame. The option to add a built-in ride to older siblings is also available.

The 2021 update comes with several changes, that improve manoeuvrability as well as an even bigger, better shopping basket with a re-designed bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are moulded and are very comfortable. They're also adjustable so that they can be positioned to suit siblings' needs. iCandy have created the first-ever 'cinema' seating concept that allows parents to maintain eye contact with both children. They can be repositioned so that they face the parent or the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggie but it's a breeze to use and drive, especially on smooth pavements. It is stable in single and double mode, and can be used on sloping ground. It's not as simple to drive on public transportation, however, since it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It is also bulky and will not fit into a standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy include a footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters included in the price, making this an excellent value bundle for new parents.

3. Joie Evalite Duo

This is a tandem stroller that is extremely light. It has two non reversible seats, suitable for babies until around 3 years old. The rear seat can also hold car seats.

It features a simple and easy-to-use folding mechanism, which makes it a great storage solution and travel. It also features a spacious basket, ideal to store all of your baby's and toddler's essentials.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is an excellent option for newbies, as it is both inexpensive and easy to use. It is also extremely light, making it easier to push over long distances. It also features a high-quality suspension system that ensures a smooth ride for both kids and parents.

This is a fashionable and practical city buggy that is suitable for twins or a baby with a toddler or even three kids with the addition of UPPAbaby's "PiggyBack board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and small dimensions make it perfect for shopping malls and narrow streets in cities. Its swivel front wheels and four-wheel suspension allows it to cope with slightly rough or uneven terrain.

This model is also great for families who plan to travel, as it can accommodate a car-seat in the back. It has a one-click secure fold and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seat. It also comes with a large basket and comfortable seats for both kids. The only downside is that the front seat isn't able to recline completely, which could be a problem for infants. But, it's a great option for families who are seeking a cheap and light twin stroller side by side.

4. Cybex Gazelle S

This is the stroller you require if you are expecting twins. It's the first travel system from Cybex and has built-in adaptors which make it easy to convert a single pushchair into a double. The upper adaptors are adjustable to your height, and the lower adaptors are twisted and turned to make it easy to switch from one configuration into another. The Gazelle's seat also reclines into flat position. It also comes with an enormous UV 50+ sun shade that is vital for your kids.

From birth, it is a single Pushchair Double, and from 4 years old as a double when you add the of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seat or an additional seat or Gazelle Cot, this is the future-proof stroller that adapts to your family. The new safety harness with one-pull allows you to easily secure your child, even when you are wearing your child on your back.

The Gazelle S is different from other double strollers in that it folds compactly with the two seats firmly attached. This makes it simple to store at home or even in your trunk. A large lower basket can hold up to 25 pounds of shopping, everyday essentials or groceries, and a detachable shopper basket provides more space for all of your purchases. A one-pull harness, massive recline and practical extras like the shopping basket that can be removed it's a very versatile and family friendly stroller. It also has wheels that are puncture-proof so you don't need to worry about those sudden flat tubes on your adventures away from home.

5. Nipper Double V5

The Nipper Double V5 is a new model from Out 'n' About of the award-winning, all-terrain buggies. It's made for siblings or twins, and features independent reclined seats, compatibility carrycots, and a light frame for hassle-free manoeuvring on uneven terrain.

The adjustable height handle and rear wheel suspension guarantee an enjoyable ride for children up to 22kg, while the hard-wearing pneumatic tyres are easy to wipe clean and provide a smooth ride for jogging. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked in place to make it easier to manoeuvre around town. The one-pedal, easy lock brake is also easy to use.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even walking on uneven ground or turning quickly in the middle of a busy street. They were also amazed by the fact that both seats recline independently. This means they can be adjusted to suit the individual's needs. This is ideal for napping.

The hoods were also easy to adjust for wind or sun protection. They didn't provide the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an extra rain cover inside the case.

Overall, our test participants loved the way Nipper Double let them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to rushing to the park to play with their friends. They were also impressed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of space for growing toddlers to sprawl out in. Our testers did mention, however, that the lack of a parent-facing seating and the inability to use car seats in this buggy was a drawback, and they would have liked to have seen more storage space for shopping and other gear.
