MadeForMums has evaluated the Cybex Avi Spin on our behalf and had the opportunity to test it with Genevieve Gregson, one of Australia's top middle-distance athletes who is also a new mother. We asked her what she thought of the pram and what she thought could be improved.
The Avi Spin is an all-terrain stroller that offers the flexibility that modern families require from the moment they are born. The front swivel is unparalleled for its maneuverability around city corners and the air-filled tires provide comfortable cushioning when strolling through the city or taking nature walks. The swivel is lockable for additional stability when on uneven terrain or when running. The fully reclining seat has an ergonomic lie-flat position that's suitable for infants from birth. The one-pull harness simplifies access to the inside and out, and the compact fold makes it easy to store and transport. The wheels are also removable for an even smaller fold! It's a pity the brake lever is located on the right-hand side of handlebar, as this could make it difficult to operate with a single hand.

It has certain disadvantages however it's not cheap, and if you're looking for something to use from newborn and beyond then you might struggle to get a better deal elsewhere. It's also quite heavy so you might need to ask for the assistance of a friend or family member when it comes to lifting the seat into your car. Another thing to consider is that there are a few small honeycomb-like exposed areas on the bottom of the seat, where spilled drinks and vomit could move - you'll need to be aware of this if your child is prone to illness.
