Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum best vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective, but this is something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the amount of suction and select between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to keep in mind that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot hoover vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. These include the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate floorplan which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was about to start or completing its task.

The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum that mops in our review, however it also has unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning robot mop and vacuum task, recall the robot, or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgSimilar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
