Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills or stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its low cost and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only issue is that the
robot vacuum best tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that displays when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship
robot cleaner vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. It's not like the model from last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects, without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the
best robot vacuum that mops to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40
robot vacuums uk vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which lets it get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There's a plethora of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
