Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one time, without having to switch devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its modest price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its path in a way that is
automatic vacuum cleaner and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet the
robot cleaner crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end
Best robot vacuum cleaner UK that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with many extra features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other
robot vacuum cleaner uk vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings on offer that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers several functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
