In our tests in our tests, the Shark IQ performed well on all surfaces and effectively cleaned pet hair. However, it was unable to handle carpets that had high and low piles. It also had issues the navigation of certain areas, moving in a zig-zagging pattern before settling to the edges of the room. Its navigation system could be improved however, overall the IQ did an excellent job of removing debris and was far superior than the ION best robot vacuum cleaner and mop in all respects.

The IQ is compatible with the Shark mopping system, which reduces the need for replacement bags. It is also faster to charge and comes with more automation features when compared to the Roomba j7+ from iRobot.
