This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is a solid option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's hard to determine if the update is actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the best automatic floor cleaner option. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin can be done easily. It also features a large LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that can help you keep the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the size is quite compact. The main reason to buy robot vacuum cleaner the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot broom fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tried that does an excellent job of removing debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.

However, if you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other great choices on the market, including a lot of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, just attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and enough space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it left off.

The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30, however is less expensive and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
