If you intend to utilize a stroller for transporting your child for a long time it should be able to be more than just a means of getting them from A to B. Strollers multiply faster than rabbits. A stroller that can handle your entire family's outings is a wise choice.

It also comes with a compact fold-down for easy storage and rolls effortlessly over grass, sidewalks and cobblestone. It's also available in an assortment with the light PIPA urbn car seat, for a complete travel system. The price is higher than the other options, but our tester said that it was worth it since it's sturdy and able to handle even the most difficult excursions.

Three-wheelers are a great choice for a lightweight stroller that can handle more difficult terrain. The Thule Shine is a great option, and we've have named it a previous winner in this category. It's a bit more expensive than our other picks but it's solid and has plenty of options (car seat compatibility! Dual cup holders! that make it a worthwhile investment. It can also be folded to fit into the overhead bin of an airplane which makes it a great choice for families that travel frequently.

Senior Review Editor Wendy Schmitz has been reviewing strollers and other baby gear for over two years. She along with our product testing team push, run the strollers, fold and lift each stroller to assess its performance, comfort and functionality. All of them are moms and are aware of the importance of having a reliable stroller for everyday use as well as family outings. This year, we widened our testing pool to include five parenting experts and stroller experts. They included Lisa Trofe (executive director of the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association), Kyleyn Gosewisch (customer care specialist at strolleria), Marielle Marquez (pediatric occupational therapist), Holly Choi (cofounder and co-owner of Safe Beginnings First Aid), Holly Choi and Sarah Huff.

The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport utility is the ideal stroller to choose for those who want to leave the track and get some exercise. The jogging stoller features pneumatic knobby wheels that are great for trail runs, and a handbrake that lets you to manage the downhills. It also comes with a state of the-art suspension system, a two-step folding, and a huge cargo basket. You can even use it with a car seat for your infant if you buy the right adapters.

The main drawback of this stroller for jogging is its weight and size folded. It weighs 25 pounds and folds to 17,850 cubic inch, which is the standard for this class. Its size isn't ideal for tight turns or narrow trunk spaces, but it has a handle at the rear of the basket that you can pull to collapse it into a compact, flat position.

Despite its size, this stroller is still easy to maneuver. Its front wheel has a locking mechanism that lets you change it from normal to locked jogging mode, and the handlebar has adjustable height settings to accommodate different heights of parents. It has a large seat that can be reclined to almost flat, as well as an enormous vinyl peekaboo window.

The Sport Utility also scored a 9/10 for its exceptional quality. It has a thick frame made of aluminum, with strong connections, no rough edges, and no weak stitching. It also comes with adjustable shocks, which aid in smooth-rolling performance.

As with the other BOB strollers in this review the Sport Utility has optional car seat adapters that allow you to use it with various infant car seats. In our tests, it took us about 5:24 hours to put together the stroller from unpacking it to being ready to go. The assembly was simple however you'll need a Philips screwdriver. The manual provided is well-organized and clear however it's a good idea just to have one in the case.

The Baby Trend Expedition

Created with safety, style and convenience in mind, this jogger comes with parents' tray with 2 cup holders, covered storage and a swing away tray for children that has two cup holders. The adjustable canopy, with its peek-aboo windows and a wide ergonomically-designed handle, provide comfort for both parents. The lockable front swivel wheel on the front can be locked to jog, but unlocked for strolling. The large storage basket is able to hold essential travel necessities.

In the Strollers test program of Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger does well overall for the price, and scores higher than many of its competitors in several categories. This includes ease of using the 5-point harness, folding and unfolding, adjusting the backrest, engaging the wheel brakes and infant car seat removal and installation (only for compatible models). It's a simple design and a one-handed recline that's deep enough for napping. However, the ratcheting canopy cover isn't easy to keep in place. It takes about 8 minutes to put it in place. The instructions are confusing, with several languages mixed up and confusing illustrations.

The only negative about this jogger is that it doesn't come with a suspension system, so the ride could be more bumpy than the other all-terrain stroller lightweight strollers we've tested. This might make it more uncomfortable for children, particularly when they're on close to napping. The air-filled wheels are great, but they don't provide the same amount of cushioning as rubber tires found on higher-end strollers.

This is a great choice for those who don't exercise often but still want to be able to easily move over grass or gravel without having to worry about obstacles like curbs or other obstructions. It's also a great choice for families with a limited space since it folds into a compact unit. It's lighter than a lot of the other joggers that we have tested and can fit into places where full-size strollers cannot.

Another advantage is that it's much more easy to carry and lift than the heavier Joggers we've tested. This is important when you have to lift it in and out of your car trunk regularly or if you're always on the move.

The Nipper Sport V4

If you're looking for the best jogger for all terrain and conditions, you should look no further than the Nipper Sport V4. The latest version of Out 'n' About's three-wheeled jogging stroller was specifically designed for jogging, and comes with large 16 pneumatic alloy tyres that can handle even the most difficult paths and tracks. The pushchair is equipped with a range of characteristics that make it perfect for tackling all types of terrain with front suspension as well as a handlebar brake. It also comes with a multi-position recline seat and removable quilted seat liner, and a five-point safety harness and hinged bumper bar. It's also compatible with travel systems that allows you to use it with the Cybex Maxi-Cosi, Maxi-Cosi, or Be-Safe infant car seat.

Another great aspect of this buggy is the large front wheel, which helps to ensure an easy ride for your child. This is essential, especially when you are tackling difficult terrain. It allows the buggy track better and glide more easily over bumps and dips. In addition it is also the case that the Nipper Sport is also very easy to drive. The handlebar is ergonomically designed, and comes with one pedal that is easy-lock and a variable steering. The buggy folds up very easily, thanks to the clear instructions and illustrations in the user's manual.

The Nipper Sport is suitable for children from the age of six months. It can be used by a newborn due to its infant insert built-in. However, it is not recommended for use with babies under six months since the harness of the seat isn't secure enough to keep them.

The pushchair is also without a storage basket under the seat. The small shopping bag at the back of seat isn't big enough to accommodate a large changing bag. It's very simple to open and close. Two hand-holds are required to open the plastic catch on either side of the lower frame. There is also a secondary lock catch on the red handlebar that can be loosened by one hand, making it extremely practical to use.
