It's also simple to set up and operate and the app will guide you step-by-step through the procedure. Another notable feature is the ability to go back to the spot where it was when we tested it. It did this for 77 mins on one cleaning, before running out of battery.

The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums that we tested comes with a self cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris into an external dirt container on its charging base once it is fully filled. This makes it easier to maintain the unit and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still requires manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dust bin can hold 2.4L of debris that is more than enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

The i3+ EVO, just like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It also allows you to navigate through neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7 is also able to make use of its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO cannot.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing debris from the surface compared to some other robovacs that we have examined, but it's not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. The only drawback is that it's a little noisier than many other models we test and doesn't perform as well in our owners satisfaction or predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin that is 770ml, which means you don't have to empty it as frequently as some other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've tested. If the battery is empty, it returns to its dock and recharges, before starting cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and make voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. This, in conjunction with other advancements, allows it to excel during our mopping and vacuuming tests. You can schedule cleanings, set no-go zones and see the status of the battery, among other things. The app is simple to use, even though it doesn't support Apple HomeKit and that feature is expected to be available by 2025. As of November 1, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to note that this feature will be delayed until 2025.
