What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to buy upgrades.

Boosts

Costs

There are a few expenses related to upgrades of items. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. This cost depends on the new ilvl of the item upgrades and the amount of perks it gains and is often expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.

The second is the cost of the items needed to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials are available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take up to 8 hours depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated using the new ilvl of the item bonus, perks, as well as other properties.
