Double Stroller With Car Seat Compatability
Parents with twins or other multiples will require a double stroller that can hold two car seats for infants at once. The TwinRoo+ is a tough frame stroller that fits 23 different car seat models (car seats and adapters are sold separately).
It also comes with a massive storage basket, parent cup holders and reversible seating with best-in-class legroom between the two seats.
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go (r)
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go(r) is a great stroller that can be used with the majority of infant car seat carriers. It comes with a large basket for storage as well as an adult tray with two cup holders. The stroller is lightweight and folds easily for storage or transport. It is one of our easiest strollers to maneuver and is a great side-by-side design. It did not perform well in our jog tests, and struggled on more steeper curbs. The swivel wheels on front don't seem to be able to catch obstacles.
The adapters for this stroller are easy to install and work with all major brands. The stroller is only able to accommodate one infant car seat at a given time, so parents with twins will need to find another option to use their infant carseats simultaneously. The UPPAbaby Vista V2 Double and the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double are top choices that can be used with two infant car seats at the same time.
While the Baby Trend is easy to use and comes with a nice basket, it falls short of our ride comfort metric. The stroller doesn't have shocks to withstand the bumps and vibrations of the road which can be a challenge for small passengers. Also, the lack of a seat recline means children will feel every bump in the road. This may not be an issue as passengers get older however it is important to take into consideration when your children are still infants or toddlers.
The frame stroller weighs less than 40 lbs. However, it is heavy when loaded with passengers and cargo. It's difficult to jog with no jog lock, and it had difficulty navigating grass, gravel and sidewalks during our tests. The BOB Revolution Flex is a better choice for jogging and lighter at around 41 lbs. It is difficult to carry and lift, but it has a handle specifically made for this purpose. Jog strollers benefit from having bigger wheels that provide better off-road performance. They are built better and are constructed from sturdy materials that can withstand long-term use.
The Contours(r), Options Elite V2
double stroller with bassinet stroller
The Contours(r), Options Elite V2 comes with features that parents love: reversible seating, one-hand recline with adjustable leg rests, and zippered extensions for both canopies. It also includes a parent cupholder. It also has a number of new features, like the height-adjustable handles as well as a quilted seats. It also has seven different seating options that include the difficult-to-find double rear facing position that allows children to be able to see each their friends while watching mom and dad.
One of the great things about this
stroller double is that it is compatible with a variety of infant car seat brands, giving families a range of options and prevents them from being confined to a single brand when it comes to strollers that work with baby car seats. The Options Elite is compatible with Graco infant car seats as well as Britax
double stroller with cup Holder car seats. It also works with UPPAbaby Mesa or Baby Jogger City Select double seats. It also has an additional adapter to accommodate those who have twins or want to use two infant car seats.
It is not a side-by-side stroller, which makes it feel like it's a single stroller. It can be used in numerous aisles and doorways. It's not as easy to maneuver as a jogging stroller but it's still a great option for shopping and road trip excursions. It's heavier than other double strollers, but not too heavy to lift.
The seats are comfortable for children, and the storage basket is large enough. The canopy is also spacious and can be unzipped to give more sun protection. It's not a lot of storage space for parents' necessities, which may be a problem for certain families.
This stroller comes with the foot brake as well as a safety harness. It also comes with a five-point harness for each child. The front wheels are lockable for extra stability and the ergonomic handles provide a comfortable grip. It folds up in a simple process, and it stands when folded. While it's not a one-hand fold like others of the top
twin strollers for newborns, it's not too difficult to accomplish with a bit of practice and the process is faster than other tandem models.
The Evenflo Pivot Double
Evenflo Pivot Xpand
pushchair double stroller is a stylish, budget-friendly and contemporary stroller that can expand with your family. It has car seat compatibility, reversible seats and a sleek frame. This stroller is easy to use and has a one-handed fold that can be used to create self-standing. It's a great deal for the price, especially considering its low cost. It has a firmer feel than most of the competition, and smaller wheels which make it difficult to push off-road, in tight turns or through narrow doorways.
This stroller can be used with an infant car seat or toddler seats sold separately. There are no adapters required. The addition of a second seat can expand the frame of the stroller in just a few minutes without tools or other parts, and can be used in a variety of configurations in the USA to accommodate toddler and infant seating at different heights, either in parent-facing or forward-facing settings. The second seat could be used to cradle baby at a comfortable angle when in infant mode or for older children in stroller mode. It comes with three reclining positions as well as a footrest that is adjustable in five positions.
The huge, large basket as well as the front-facing and back-accessible seat pocket increase the value of this
twin stroller, while the padded, contoured seat offers the most comfortable ride for passengers. An extendable canopy keeps children shielded from the sun's rays, while a peek-aboo window allows parents to watch their little ones.
The Stroller Rider Board accessory can be used to create a tandem so that siblings can ride together or as an alternative to the standard toddler seat. A flex-hold cup holder can hold different sizes of drinks and the stroller can fold with a toddler seat attached for easy access to storage space.
A majority of reviewers are pleased with how easily the Pivot Xpand stroller can be expanded to accommodate an additional seat. Some reviewers have commented that attaching an infant car seat to the integrated mounts can be a challenge, however attaching the second toddler's seat is much easier and quicker. Evenflo does have the option of video chat for customers to ask questions and receive assistance with fitting car seats it is a nice touch. The only other significant drawback for this stroller is its short warranty.
The Jeep Bravo For 2
The Bravo For 2 is a great stroller for siblings who are in the same age group. It's easy to put together straight out from the box and unlike many sit-and stand options it is surprisingly light at less than 23 pounds. The seats can recline in various positions so that your infant or toddler can rest. There is also a footrest available for older children who need it. The padded handlebar is positioned in a manner that allows older children can hold it while standing, even if they're wearing mittens. This feature has been cited by many parents as the reason it is safer than most of its competitors.
The stroller is padded with a back seat that can accommodate a child of up to two years old. This allows you to keep your infant rear-facing longer and is a major advantage for parents who adhere to the #TurnAfter2 campaign that encourages toddlers and infants to keep their rears facing until they reach the age of two years old. This seat is simple to buckle and features the same great five-point harness that is found on the front seat.
The Bravo For 2 has another benefit: it is able to accept Chicco KeyFit car seats or Fit2 in the front. You can easily attach your baby carrier by lowering the front seat and snapping it in. This feature alone makes it one of the most flexible double strollers available and helps you avoid wasting money on a single-use stroller that will get lost in your garage or donated to a secondhand store in your area.
This stroller has only one major flaw It doesn't come with an holder for cups or a tray for parents. The storage space is also small. But, it's an excellent choice for families with one kiddo who will be walking for the entirety of their stroll and a younger sibling in a car seat up in front. It is also an excellent option for traveling as it can fold up into smaller dimensions that can be gate-checked on a plane or stow away in your trunk.
