Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Select models that allow users to select between different modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the
best automatic vacuum cleaner models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive
robot vacuum cleaner best vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of rooms and floors.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an efficient solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with numerous innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.
This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically emptied or filled. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most debris and even the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new top-of-the-line
best robot vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our
best automatic vacuum cleaner mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one room to another without changing direction it is a useful feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a wide space over obstacles. This can result in missing spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and well-organized. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, alter the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home frequently, every week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating mopping functions and using a less expensive plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen in this price range, despite not being able to clean your floor. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This allows it to get into places that other vacuums can't reach. This device also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
