The lever, screws, and pad spindles are all positioned through the lock case (which is located inside the door) therefore you cannot change any handle without ensuring that they match up correctly. This is why it's crucial to measure accurately prior to purchasing a new set handles.

Lever/lever door handles are among the most common handle type and are available in a variety of styles and finishes. For instance, you can find brushed nickel, graphite oil-rubbed bronze, matte black handles that will complement your interior. These handles are suitable for commercial and domestic applications and can be found on a wide range of uPVC door styles and sizes.
If you want to make your uPVC door more secure, select a handle with an electronic locking mechanism. This will add an extra layer of security to your home, and is especially useful for exterior doors. Certain lever handle sets are reverse-able, which means they can be used on either side of the
conservatory sliding door repairs. Certain lever handle sets can be convertible, but some are not. You'll need to purchase specific sets for the orientation of your door. Before ordering, we recommend that you check the direction of any lever set. Certain brands, like Schlage supply only reversible handles on standard doors.
Un-sprung
These door handles made of upvc are not spring-loaded. The latches/multi-point locks apply a force that returns their lever to a horizontal position following use. This can become less effective over time, causing the handles to fall.
If this is a problem with the handle, it's likely that the spring in your internal cassette has worn out and requires replacement. The best way to determine this is to take the handle off and then operating the lever. If the handles are drooping, this means they have lost their spring power and it is necessary to fit heavy duty latches/locks together with your new doors for conservatories to prevent this from happening.
The majority of replacement handles have spring cassettes that are located in the backplate that holds the lever. These handles are compatible with a standard tubular or multi-point latch to ensure that door handles will return to horizontal after use. This is a crucial aspect, as it could be difficult to operate handles that are not in the proper position if they do not return to their original position.
However, there are still some upvc handles on the market that do not have the spring cassette and require heavy duty latches/locks. These are more common on older upvc doors in which the handles haven't been replaced for a number of years.
Once you have the correct handle type chosen and it is the correct length to fit your doors made of upvc it's a case of fitting it in accordance with the directions given. Align the screw holes on the outside handle with the ones already present in your euro profile cylinder. Then put in the spindle provided and tighten the screws. Repeat the procedure for the internal handle.
One thing to be aware of is that the cylinders included with these handle sets aren't typical cylinders that are used on modern multi-point locks. The cylinders that come with these handle sets are smaller in diameter and require the larger bulb-shaped cylinders that are commonly used on older multipoint doors. These cylinders are available from your local locksmith, or online. This is a cost in addition to the new upvc handles, and is only required if your double-glazed door has older multi-point locks. The majority of upvc handles available are supplied with these cylinders as they are the most sought-after size for use. However, it is always recommended to have spare cylinders on hand in case of damage or loss. You'll save time as well as money by not having to buy an entirely new set of handles. It also lets you make use of the same cylinder to make repair of your current upvc handles when the spring in the handle cassette breaks or wears out. This can occur if the door handle is used with excessive force, particularly by older or children.
